Understanding the hotel classification system in Turkey will help travellers to choose well. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has responsibility for hotel registration. Hotels must provide a range of services and facilities depending on their class.

At the luxury end 5 Star hotels have a higher standard of in room facilities and an extensive range of guest services.
